War Room · Strategic strike — aircraft, missiles & launchers vs the city grid

Overview

War Room — Strategic Strike Simulator is the flagship Skywar title. You take command of a multi-domain strike force: pick a difficulty, an aircraft or a launcher, a missile or warhead profile, and a mission. The battlefield is a city grid bristling with surface-to-air defences, enemy jets, radar sites and high-value targets you must destroy to win the round.

Two modes share the same War Room briefing screen. Aircraft mode is direct flight combat with locks, missiles, flares and (on the right airframe) drones and SAM jamming. Launcher mode is indirect fire — auto-aim volleys, manually steered rounds, or guided salvos with target lock. Each mission scales the city size, the density of air and ground defences, and how much of the target zone must be destroyed.

Career progress unlocks new aircraft, new missile profiles and new launchers. Missions go from EASY through HARD into a late-game tier featuring boss platforms, drone swarms launched from the enemy base, and ballistic counter-fire. None of this is real — it is a fictional arcade-style simulator and is not modelled on any real military, country or program.

How to play

  1. Open the War Room from the main menu and pick a difficulty.
  2. Choose Aircraft mode or Launcher mode. Pick a frame (10+ aircraft from "Swiftblade Mk.I" through to "Sky Sovereign NG+") or a launcher.
  3. Pick a missile or warhead profile — gravity bombs, cruise, MIRV, cluster, or end-game megaton fantasy nukes. Each has its own flight profile (direct, lofted, glide, cruise, MIRV split, cluster).
  4. Launch the sortie. Destroy enough of the target city / installations to clear the mission. Earn cash, unlock the next mission.

Controls

Arrow keysWASDFly — climb, dive, strafe sideways
SpaceAfterburner (hold; consumes fuel)
CToggle maneuver mode (A/D rotate, W thrust, S brake)
ZFire unguided round (one per press; bombers drop full load)
TCycle radar lock (jets, SAMs, buildings, airbase, city)
FRelease lock
VFire guided missile at locked target
XDeploy flares (decoys nearby A-A missiles)
QJam SAM radars in range (only on jam-capable frames)
1Numpad 1Launch wing drone at lock (Gen6 / Sky Sovereign class)

Mobile / touch: D-pad for flight, MNV toggles maneuver mode, BOOST is afterburner, FIRE is your primary, FLARE / LOCK / JAM / DRONE buttons appear when your jet supports them.

Aircraft roster

Swiftblade Mk.I, Razorwind Delta, Shadowfang X, Void Stalker, Stormcell Omni, Eclipse Wing (bomber, 16 bomb drop), Crimson Mirage, Apex Reaper VII, Thunderclap S5, Inferno Drake ZX-99, and the late-game Sky Sovereign NG+ — six-slot missile volley, SAM jam, and ten wing drones. Each frame trades speed, fuel, accuracy and missile count differently.

Missile and warhead profiles

Iron Drop XL is a flat gravity bomb. Blue Streak Racer hits direct and fast. Arc Reaper Cruise is a long-range lofted cruise. Redline Comet and Titan Piercer climb into a very high arc before slamming down. Starfall Prime is a high-arc ballistic. Neon Skimmer is a maneuvering cruise. Phantom Glider S2 is a glide warhead with insane mid-flight steering. Hydra Split MIRV separates into four warheads spread across the city. Needle Great Storm releases 100 cluster submunitions from a single round. Ragnarok Core is the late-game megaton finale.

Launcher mode

Launchers (Rainmaker Battery, Strike Matrix Pod, and unlocks beyond) fire in three guidance modes: Auto raises/lowers tube angle and fires a volley; Manual launches and then steers the round in flight with WASD; Guided locks a target with G/H and fires a guided salvo. Range, salvo size and reload time vary per launcher.

Tips & strategy

  • Always cycle target lock with T before pressing V. Unguided rounds (Z) are useful filler but rarely close a hard mission.
  • Flares (X) only spoof nearby air-to-air threats. They will not help vs. ground SAMs — break line-of-sight or jam (Q) instead.
  • Bombers drop their entire payload in one pass — line up the run before pressing Z.
  • On HARD missions, the late-game drone swarms from the enemy base will hunt you. Use afterburner (Space) sparingly so you can break engagement.
  • In launcher mode, lofted profiles (Arc Reaper, Titan Piercer) over-fly most flak. Direct profiles get cheaper rounds out faster but eat more intercepts.

Frequently asked questions

Is War Room based on a real war or military?

No. All names, frames, weapons and scenarios are fictional. It is an arcade-style simulator built for entertainment, not training or simulation of real systems.

How does career progress carry?

Career score, unlocked aircraft, missile profiles and missions are stored in your browser only (localStorage). Clearing site data resets them.

Can I switch between aircraft and launcher mid-mission?

No — choose your platform in the War Room before launching the sortie. Switch on the next run.

When does the Sky Sovereign NG+ unlock?

After you clear mission 9. It carries a six-slot missile volley, SAM jamming on Q, and up to ten wing drones launched with 1.
